Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using dietary antioxidant rutin and its biological contour

Abstract Background Dietary and wholesome antioxidant rutin is considered advantageous due to its potential protective role for numerous diseases related oxidative stress, high safety, cost-effectiveness, extensive biological effects. The present study accounts an expeditious method the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using rutin. Results presence AgNPs was affirmed by UV–visible spectroscopy at 425 nm, FESEM zeta sizer analysis revealed average size 80–85 nm 160 d.nm, respectively. Zeta measurements (− 30.3 mV) showed that have reasonably good stability. Element mapping confirmed XRD AFM, while FTIR spectra existence functional groups. In DPPH assay, highest radical scavenging activity AgNPs, 86.95 ± 01.60%, confirmed. interaction with CT-DNA HS-DNA studied spectrophotometrically, data display a shift in respective spectra. Furthermore, pBR322 DNA, λ CT-DNA, deliberated nicking assay shows physicochemical properties AgNPs. Antibacterial evaluated standard well-diffusion against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus, cytotoxicity assessed human WBCs MTT assay. Conclusion As per this appraisal, it can be concluded cost-effective, simple, eco-friendly tactic such NPs are beneficial improve therapeutics since antioxidant, DNA interaction, antibacterial, cytotoxic exploits offer new horizon euthenics.
